Terms of Service

The terms on which you may use securicoguards.com and its quote and RFP tools, and the terms of our text messaging program. Guard services are governed by a separate signed service agreement.

Last updated

1. Acceptance

This website is operated by SECURICO Guard Services, Inc., a California corporation. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

You must be at least eighteen and able to enter a contract. If you use the site for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to act for it, and "you" means both you and that organisation.

2. These terms are not the guard services contract

This is the most important thing on the page. These terms govern your use of the website only. Guard services are governed by the separate written service agreement signed by SECURICO and the client, and by any statement of work or post orders issued under it.

Where a signed service agreement exists, it controls over these terms for that engagement, and nothing on this website varies it, adds to it or reduces it. Nothing on this page sets the commercial terms of guard services.

3. What this website does

The site describes our services and coverage, produces indicative pricing through the quote tool, accepts RFP and job application submissions, and puts you in contact with us. It is not a booking system: submitting anything here does not put an officer on your site, and it does not create a contract.

If you have an urgent security requirement, telephone (310) 209-8119. If there is an emergency, a crime in progress, or a risk to life, call 911 first. This website is not a monitored channel for emergencies and must never be used as one.

4. Quotes, proposals and rates

The quote tool returns an estimate generated from the information you supply. It is an indication of price. It is not an offer capable of acceptance and it does not bind either of us.

What we actually charge depends on the post, the schedule, the site conditions, the officer classification, and any licensing, insurance or training requirements particular to your property. Those things usually need a walkthrough before we can be certain, and the figure can change once we know them.

Published rates are starting rates: the lowest price at which a standard post begins in that market, not the price every job will be. A written quote or proposal we issue is valid for the period stated on it, and lapses after that unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

Nothing becomes binding on either party until a service agreement is signed by both.

5. SMS messaging terms

Program name: SECURICO Guard Services Messaging.

SECURICO Guard Services sends two types of text message: one-time login passcodes to our security officers for access to our staff scheduling application; and service follow-up messages to clients after a completed security job, which may include an invitation to leave a review.

How to join. Clients provide their mobile number on our quote request form or verbally during a sales call when contracting security services. Officers provide their mobile number during hiring and onboarding. We do not use purchased or third-party lists.

Message frequency varies. Messages are sent one-to-one by our staff and are not on a fixed recurring schedule.

Message and data rates may apply.

Messages are sent from (949) 818-7303. To stop receiving them, reply STOP at any time. For help, reply HELP, or contact us at (949) 818-7303 or admin@securicoguards.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information, including the commitment that mobile information and text-messaging consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Acceptable use

You may use this site to learn about our services, request a quote, submit an RFP and apply for a job. You may not:

  • Submit false information, or another person's information without their permission.
  • Scrape, crawl for bulk extraction, mirror or systematically download the site or its content, or use automated means to access it beyond ordinary search-engine indexing.
  • Submit quote or RFP requests you have no genuine interest in, or overload those endpoints.
  • Probe, scan or interfere with the site's security, or attempt to access any part of it you are not authorised to reach.
  • Upload anything containing malware, or anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious.
  • Use the site or its content to build or train a competing service, or to compile a marketing list.

We may suspend or block access where we reasonably believe any of that is happening.

7. Accounts and portals

The client portal and the staff application are provided under separate credentials and, where applicable, their own terms. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your login, and you agree to tell us promptly if you believe they have been compromised.

8. Our content and marks

The text, layout, graphics, photographs, logos and software on this site belong to SECURICO or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. SECURICO is our mark.

You may view, download and print pages for your own internal business purposes, including to evaluate our services. You may not copy, republish, sell or exploit them commercially, or use our name or marks, without our written permission.

9. What you send us

You keep ownership of everything you submit — form entries, RFP documents, photographs, application materials. You give us permission to store it and use it to respond to you, price and deliver the work, and keep the records we are required to keep. That permission lasts as long as we hold the material under our Privacy Policy, and no longer.

You confirm you have the right to send us what you send, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Do not send us anything confidential that you do not want us to have; if you need confidentiality before you share a document, ask us for a non-disclosure agreement first.

10. Third-party links and services

Where we link to another organisation's site we do so for information. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. The same applies to the third-party client portal we link to, which is governed by its own provider's terms.

11. No professional advice, and no guarantee of outcome

Material on this site — guides, articles, comparisons, coverage descriptions — is general information about security operations. It is not legal, insurance or risk-management advice, and it is not a security assessment of your property. Do not rely on it in place of advice about your own site and circumstances.

Security services reduce risk. They do not eliminate it. Nothing on this site is a promise that crime, loss, injury, trespass or damage will be prevented at any site, and no description of our services is a warranty of outcome. The presence of an officer does not replace the police, the fire service or emergency medical services.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it. Our operations line on (310) 209-8119 is reachable whether or not the website is up.

13. Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the website, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that its content is complete, current or error-free.

This section is about the website. It does not limit any obligation we owe under a signed service agreement, and nothing here affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SECURICO and its officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of this website. Our total liability arising out of your use of this website will not exceed one hundred United States dollars.

Again, this concerns the website. Liability arising from guard services we actually perform is dealt with in the signed service agreement, and this paragraph does not cap it.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SECURICO against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or material you submit that infringes someone else's rights. We will tell you promptly of any such claim and will not settle it without your agreement, which you will not unreasonably withhold.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.

Before filing anything, please contact us at info@securicoguards.com or (310) 209-8119. Most issues are resolved by a telephone call, and we would rather have that call than a dispute.

17. General

  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by something outside its reasonable control.
  • Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign ours to a successor to the business.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues in force and the provision is applied as far as it lawfully can be.
  • Waiver. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.
  • Entire agreement. These terms are the whole agreement between us about the website, and replace any earlier version. They do not displace a signed service agreement — see section 2.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version. Where a change is material we will say so on this page rather than relying on the date alone.
